Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Information

According to OSHA, Maryland operates its own worker safety and health program under a plan approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. This program provides safety and health protections to most private sector workers, as well as state and local government employees within Maryland.

Maryland State Plan

Maryland OSHA (MOSH) adopted the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Standards in Part 1910 (General Industry) Part 1926 (Construction Industry), and Part 1928 (Agriculture). In addition to these federal standards, MOSH has adopted several state-specific regulations.
