According to OSHA, Nevada operates an occupational safety and health program in accordance with Section 18 of the OSH Act 1970. Nevada’s Occupational Safety and Health Plan was officially April 18, 2000.
The Nevada State Plan is administered by the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR), Department of Business and Industry. Enforcement within DIR is provided by the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Nevada OSHA), and Consultation within DIR is provided by the Nevada Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS).
Nevada OSHA and SCATS are headquartered in Henderson and have offices in Henderson, Reno and Elko.
