New York Occupational Safety and Health Information

According to OSHA, New York State operates an occupational safety and health program that only covers private sector workers. This program provides safety and health protections to state and local government employees within the state. Federal OSHA covers private sector workers in New York State.

New York State Plan

New York has the Public Employee Safety and Health (PESH) program. This state program adopted all federal OSHA standards and regulations for public sector employees, with the exception of Part 1904 Recordkeeping.
